My comment here doesn't answer the question, but it confirms my concern about using an Apple TV 4K with my 2015 65' Samsung model UN65JS8500 'SUHD' TV. I haven't bought my ATV 4K yet, but have enough concern about a problem like this that I've had two chats with Samsung people. Both told me the ATV 4K is perfectly compatible with the Samsung TV and its SUHD capabilities (4K and HDR) without making any setup changes on the TV.


We all know when something doesn't work it is always the other guy's fault, so I'm not saying I necessarily believe what Samsung told me, but at least their stories were consistent. I too am wondering if there is some setup adjust needed for ATV 4K's working with Samsung SUHD TV's, since Samsung says there shouldn't be a problem. Certainly something I would like to know before I embark on a frustrating attempt to have a new ATV 4K work with my TV.
